More Showers Ahead 5-2-18

TONIGHT: Showers lessen overnight, but will still remain possible. Skies stay cloudy with lows in the 30s and 40s.

TOMORROW: More showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day tomorrow. Rain mixing with heavy wet snow is likely for the morning commute in parts of El Paso and Teller counties. A trace to a couple of inches isn’t out of the question on grassy areas. More snow will move over the Wets and Sangres during the afternoon tomorrow with a couple of inches possible. The higher terrain south and west of Pueblo could also see some light accumulations. Showers and thunderstorms will mainly be common in the afternoon and evening with lightning the main concern. Clouds and showers keep temperatures cooler with highs in the 50s and 60s. 40s are expected for our mountain cities.

EXTENDED: Friday and the weekend remain quieter with the exception of a stray storm here and there. Temperatures will continue to warm back to the 60s and 70s. The Plains warm back to the 80s. Rain and thunderstorms begin to return for the early part of next week.
