Showers Return 5-1-18

TONIGHT: Low clouds move in through the early morning hours with the potential for light showers and drizzle. Low temps stay mild in the 30s and 40s.

TOMORROW: Low clouds and light showers will remain possible early. Skies remain cloudy with cooler afternoon temperatures. Highs make it to the 50s and 60s with some 70s for the Plains. Showers and a few storms will develop over the higher terrain before moving eastward over the I-25 corridor for the afternoon and evening. A wet snow will be possible over the Eastern Mountains, Pikes Peak, the Palmer Divide and Teller County. Several inches are possible over the mountains with a Trace to 1″ for Teller County and the Palmer Divide, mainly on grassy areas. 3-6″ is possible over Pikes Peak.

EXTENDED: Showers and storms, with snow for the higher terrain will again be possible for Thursday. Skies are still cloudy with even cooler temperatures. Afternoon highs make are in the 50s and 60s with 40s for our mountain cities. Friday will be drier and warmer with more sunshine. Highs climb to the 60s and 70s with 50s in Teller County. The weekend stays mostly dry with the exception of very isolated showers. Highs are back in the 60s and 70s to near 80.
