Large scrap fire burned in Southeast Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Fire Crews responded to a large scrap fire in the 2600 block of Las Vegas Street.

Multiple crews are on site working to attack the blaze using large diameter hose lines, ladder pipe and engine mounted deck guns on. No injuries and no exposures threatened.

CSFD said the heavy equipment worked pull scrap away to expedite extinguishment. Brush trucks were deployed to the North side of the fire to investigate and protect from possible airborne embers.
