Warmer Friday 3-29-18

TONIGHT: Any remaining light shower activity will wind down with skies gradually clearing. Lows temps fall mainly to the 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny skies are expected with warmer temps. Highs will be above average and be around 10 degrees warmer than today. Mountain locations warm to the 40s and 50s with 50s and 60s in the Pikes Peak region. Parts of the Southeastern Plains will hit the lower 70s. Winds will also increase some, especially near the Kansas border. This will certainly elevate the fire danger as we dry out compared to today. At this point, it looks like we stay below Red Flag Warning criteria, but it still won’t be in the best interest to partake in any burning.

EXTENDED: The weekend looks to stay mild although a weak front arrives Saturday cooling those temps some for Easter Sunday. We will also see increased clouds through the weekend but most areas remain dry. Warmer air returns for Monday before another front cools us off for Tuesday. We will be tracking periods of showers mainly over the higher terrain.
