2 dead in crash on Highway 85 in Fountain

Two people are dead after a car accident Wednesday morning near Fountain Creek Regional Park.

The Fountain Police Department said they received a call of a two-car accident at the intersection of S. Highway 85 and Duckwood Rd. around 10:56 a.m.

Both vehicles had one person in the car and both are confirmed fatalities.

Sgt. Scott Gilbertson said both drivers are believed to be adults, no sex is available at this time.

South Hwy 85 is blocked at Mesa on the north side and Comanche Village on the south side. The highway was reopened around 4 p.m.
