Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Roller Coaster Week Ahead! – 1/28/18
Today: Partly cloudy with high temperatures in the 40s and 50s for the plains, 30s and 40s for the mountains. Some areas will again be breezy at times today, especially this afternoon as a weak cold front slides southward across the plains.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with low temperatures falling into the teens and 20s for most areas.
Extended: Monday looks similar to today, although the higher terrain will likely be warmer. We expect passing clouds, but we will remain dry through Tuesday. Tuesday will likely be windy, but quite warm with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s at lower elevations. Colder air will begin to slide over the area on Wednesday, and the temperatures could vary noticeably over lower elevations Wednesday afternoon with temperatures in the 30s for low lying areas in eastern Colorado, to the 50s closer to the higher terrain. All areas will get much colder Wednesday night into Thursday, and we will be tracking a chance for some light snow across the area. Light snow could last into early Friday, and Friday looks like a chilly day. Saturday should be dry and warmer, but much colder air may surge back into the area again on Sunday.
