Quieter pattern ahead
Today: We’ll resume a quieter pattern of weather across southern Colorado. High pressure will be redeveloping after an area of low pressure swept through the state this weekend, providing us with wintry weather Sunday. In the wake of that disturbance, it’s cold this morning! We’re also still tracking icy areas and slick spots on some side streets – especially in Monument and Woodland Park! Use caution. Later today, temperatures are set to reach the 30s and 40s.
Tonight: Lows drop to the teens under partly cloudy skies. We’ll be dry overnight.
Extended: Temperatures soar to the 50s for many neighborhoods by Wednesday, and temperatures are expected to be even warmer on Thursday! On Thursday, there could be areas of high fire danger in the southeastern plains where we have gusty winds and relative humidity levels. It’s possible the mountains could get a quick shot of showers Friday, but most other areas look to stay dry.
