Art collective Meow Wolf coming to Colorado

A collection of hundreds of artists are coming together to create a permanent art installation in Denver.

Santa Fe, N.M.-based Meow Wolf is planning to take its psychedelic ideas and create a $50 million playhouse that sits just across the Platte River from the Mile High Stadium.

The soon-to-be 90,000 square feet, four-story building is going to open in 2020 and will be designed to”transport visitors into different dimensions.”

A warehouse and office building previously used by Elitch Gardens sits at the location now and will be taken when construction starts this year.

Revesco Properties is the owner and managing partner of Elitch Gardens and will be a development partner with Meow Wolf. Behind the design of the facility for the Denver Meow Wolf will be Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects.
