Threat warns students at Mitchell High to not go to school

Colorado Springs received several calls Sunday night about a threat to Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs.

The threat was from a social media posting stating, “don’t go to school tomorrow @MHS.”

After further investigating, CSPD found the post originated on the east coast, with no connection to any Colorado Springs school.

CSPD found no credibility in the names identified in the post and cross referenced locally.

At about noon, police in Albemarle County, Virginia, said they identified and detained the suspect who created the post. Official charges weren’t released.

CSPD has received several calls, reference a national social media post sent yesterday which states “don’t go to school tomorrow @ MHS”.
Investigation showed the post originated on the east coast, with no connection to any Colorado Springs School.
