Four arrested in marijuana raid in Teller County
Four adults are in custody after the Teller County Sheriff’s Office conducted a marijuana bust Tuesday.
The grow was discovered in the basement of a home at 323 Woody Creek in near Divide in Teller County.
The Sheriff’s Office seized around 175 plants.
Two juveniles were inside the house and have been turned over to social services.
One of the adults arrested is from Cuba and had already been deported from the United States once. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been notified.
Two of the adults have been identified as Balvino Prieto Soto and Lerlin Karen Martinez. They are both facing a charge of Illegal Marijuana Cultivation. The other two names have not been released.
Authorities believe this operation is tied to crime incidents stretching to Florida.
This was the first search warrant executed by the “Get Out of Teller” (#GOT) program.
