Colorado Springs sees 1st traffic-related fatality of 2018
The man who had to be rescued from under an SUV at an intersection in Colorado Springs on Tuesday has died.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was crossing S. Nevada at around 3:30 p.m. when a Ford Explorer turned south onto Nevada from East Las Vegas Street and hit him.

First responders with the Colorado Springs Fire Department had to use a jack system to get the man out from under the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital where he died a day later.
At this time, no charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
This is the first traffic-related fatality in 2018
