Another exceptionally dry day – 1/3/18
TODAY: Skies will be mostly sunny today with the exception of high cloudiness. Highs will warm into the 40s and we should even feel some highs in the low 50s. It will be another exceptionally dry day. Dew points will be in the negatives to single digits. Though there isn’t a strong breeze, moderate fire danger will still be an issue today as tinder could catch quickly.
TONIGHT: Our skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight with lows cooling to the teens and 20s, much warmer than previous days.
EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks dry with slow warming into the weekend. Highs will jump to the upper 50s to near 60. Our next system moves in on Sunday which brings chances for snow in the high country. Some of this could spill over to our mountain cities or the lower elevations, but it is still too early to tell.
