Vehicle vs. pedestrian at Las Vegas, S. Nevada in Colorado Springs

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of S. Nevada and Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon.

A man was crossing Nevada when a Ford Explorer turned south onto Nevada.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department reported that the pedestrian had to be removed from under the SUV using a jack system. The man was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

As of 4:05 p.m., SB Nevada was closed at Mill, westbound was closed at Weber, and eastbound was closed at Tejon and Las Vegas.

(UPDATE: The crash was removed and roads were reopened just before 5 p.m.)
