Spring Glade Fire cause revealed
Crews say the Spring Glade Fire was started by hot metal due to mechanical failure in mowing equipment.
Investigators told the Coloradoan, a contractor hit a rock and either that or one of the gearboxes overheating sparked the fire.
The brush fire burned 371 acres between Loveland and Fort Collins.
It’s now 100 percent contained.
