Kids show off their hard work at State Fair Junior Livestock Auction
Kids from across Colorado are showcasing their hard work at the State Fair in Pueblo and quite a few elected leaders are on hand to see it.
Mayor John Suthers visited the Fair on Tuesday to support those involved in the Junior Livestock Auction.
Suthers says supporting the kids from all over Colorado who work hard and raise their livestock is an important part of the fair.
Before the auction Suthers also had a chance to speak with Governor Hickenlooper about issues important to Colorado Springs.
“We talk about our respective communities, what’s going on in Colorado Springs and what we need from the legislature; it’s a really good opportunity for communication between our cities,” said Mayor Suthers.
On Thursday is Colorado Springs Day at the fair. Mayor Suthers says he is encouraging everyone to go and support the neighboring community of Pueblo.
