Woman found dead in northeast Springs home was shot; person of interest now a suspect

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a woman who was found shot to death in a northeast side home Monday.

The woman’s body was found inside a home in the 6000 block of Miramont Street, near Dublin and Powers.

An autopsy determined that Janice Nam, 28, had been shot. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Glen Galloway, 44, was originally identified as a person of interest in the case. He is now considered a suspect. An arrest warrant for first degree murder has been issued for Galloway.

Galloway already had several active warrants for failing to appear in court to face previous criminal charges.

According to Sgt. Joel Kern, at least one of those previous cases involved domestic violence charges involving Nam.

He said it’s clear the victim tried to break off the relationship with Galloway, but he kept coming back.

Police say Galloway may have grown facial hair or altered his appearance in some other way. He is believed to be armed and dangerous. You’re asked to call 911 if you know where he is.
