Ft. Carson honored hundreds of fallen soldiers
Fort Carson military members had a ceremony on Thursday to remember the fallen.
The Mountain Post has hosted yearly fallen soldier memorials since 2004.
The names of those 395 soldiers who were based at or mobilized through Fort Carson are inscribed on the memorial stones.
“I talked to a family here today that had lost their son and it means a lot, the closure. It means a lot for them to ensure the story of their loved one continues,” said Ryan Gonsalves.
Fort Carson has pledged to always remember the soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in support of overseas operations.
You can visit the War Memorial at any time on the Mountain Post.
