Four in Colorado reportedly sickened by recalled pistachios

Four people in Colorado say they have tested positive for Salmonella after eating recalled pistachios.

Mike Larsen told KDVR-TV that his parents bought the pistachios at Walgreens about a month ago.

Wonderful Brand Pistachios initiated a voluntary recall of some of its products on March 9 because of a possible link to Salmonella cases in nine states.

“I don’t know if you’ve ever had food poisoning but it’s painful and this was about ten times worse,” Larsen said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention traced the outbreak back to Paramount Farms in Lost Hills, California.
