Colorado to review parole policies

Gov. John Hickenlooper said Colorado will conduct an immediate and thorough review of the state’s parole policies.

This comes a year after a 2015 law rewrote how and when parolees are sent back to prison for various technical violations. The law reduced the recidivism rate, but in some cases parolees committed serious crimes.
