Northern end of Colorado Springs hit hard with blizzard conditions
One of the hardest-hit areas in the Pikes Peak region, is the north side of Colorado Springs, especially north of Woodmen Road.
Drivers there experienced white out conditions and brutal wind. Numerous drivers had to pull over because of the conditions.
It was also nearly impossible to see stoplights or cars in front of you.
Shoppers running last-minute errands said they regretted coming outside and driving because visibility was so poor on the roads.
“It’s ridiculous. I’m almost flying away, I have to walk backwards to my car,” said Natali Traslavina.
Many drivers say it wasn’t so much the snow that was the issue, it was the wind.
“My lips are frozen, I can’t even talk. You can’t even see anything, you can’t see anything at all, it’s crazy,” said Adolfo Cordoba.
