Teen cancer patient who met Taylor Swift dies

A Colorado teenager who had her wish to meet pop icon Taylor Swift granted has died.

Delaney Clements, 13, died early Monday morning. Delaney’s passing was announced on her mother’s Facebook page.

With the help of social media using the hashtag #DelaneyMeetTaylor, Delaney’s dream came true. Taylor Swift visited her on December 19, 2015.

Last Friday, March 18, her mother posted on Facebook that Delaney’s condition was declining. “She is sleeping more and more almost 16 plus hours a day. Her pain is well managed and her irritability is sky high. Every day is different”, she wrote.

Delaney Clements fought Neuroblastoma for five years. She entered hospice care three months ago.
