UPDATE: 3 injured in head-on crash near Cripple Creek
Highway 67 north of Cripple Creek has reopened in both directions Saturday afternoon after of a head-on accident.
Three people were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries, according to the state patrol.
The crash happened near mile marker 53 on Highway 67, north of Cripple Creek around 1:45 p.m.
A driver, 48-year-old Arnel Tuazon of Colorado Springs, headed toward Cripple Creek. Troopers said Tuazon was coming around a curve in the wrong lane and hit an SUV.
Troopers cited Tuazon, but the crash is still under investigation.
