Baby otters born at Pueblo Zoo
The Pueblo Zoo announced the birth of two North American river otters Tuesday.
The pups were born on March 3. They’ll remain in their nest box for at least 8 weeks before joining their mom, Freyja.
Freyja will teach the pups how to swim before they can be moved into the otter exhibit.
This is Freyja’s second litter. She mothered three pups in 2014.
The babies will not be on display for the public until they’ve mastered swimming.
