East Colorado Springs grass fire under control
A grass fire that burned in a park near N. Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue Wednesday is under control.
The fire burned in Villa Loma Park, which is surrounded by homes.
The fire was reported from the 2700 block of Penacho Circle.
The fire department says no homes were damaged, but a fence and shed were damaged by the fire.
It has not yet been determined how the fire started or how much land burned.
A red flag warning is in effect until 7 p.m. because of high fire danger.
