Man arrested after allegedly attacking officers, police say

One man is in custody after Pueblo police say he tried to attack several officers Thursday night.

Police were responding to the scene of a fight at a bar. Officers decided to take one man to the hospital for drug use

Investigators said the man, later identified as Ryan Bennett, began fighting with EMTs on the way to the hospital.

Officers were called in and Bennett fought with the officers and tried to grab one of their guns, police said.

He is facing charges of second-degree assault and second-degree assault on a peace officer.
