Monday’s Commute Will Be Slippery

The last burst of energy associated with this weekends storm brought new snow Sunday night and early Monday that will make returning to work and school difficult.

Drivers will wake up to slippery driving conditions that will require extra time and patience. The section of I-25 between Colorado Springs and Denver will be especially tough.

Most of the main roads around El Paso and Teller Counties should be plowed, but many secondary roads will still see some light to moderate snowpack.

The last of the snow will end in the early morning hours before the storm moves off to the northeast and clearing takes place. By midday Monday, the forecast calls for clearer skies and much improved conditions even out into the Plains.
