Winter weather conditions in Woodland Park
The city above the clouds woke up covered in snow Friday.
Residents were busy shoveling and scraping ice off their windshields.
Homeowners expected things to get worse.
“It’s going to get worse, especially tonight, I know it is.” Jerry Everhart said. “The ice is going to turn to ice once that sun hits it. It’s going to be bad. Stay home, stay home.”
Highway 24 was snow-packed and icy early Friday but was significantly better by the late afternoon.
