Springs woman recovering after shark attack in Florida
A Colorado Springs woman is recovering after being bitten by a shark in Florida, according to the Denver Post.
According to the Post, Jill Kruse, 28, of Colorado Springs, was attacked in Cocoa Beach about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Authorities called it “a significant bite.”
Kruse’s mother told the newspaper that her daughter is recovering in a hospital.
KRDO NewsChannel 13 is working to independently confirm the story.
Kruse is the second Colorado Springs resident to be attacked by a shark this year. In June, 16-year-old Hunter Treschl lost his arm in a shark attack in North Carolina.
