good evening and thanks for joing us .. i’m james jarman. and i’m heather skold. first tonight … days after the senseless shooting downtown… so many are asking why 33-year-old noah harpham went on the rampage in colorado springs. investigators say he killed three people before being shot by police. krdo newschannel 13’s scott harrison is live from the 200 block of north prospect street – where harpham lived. scott, are we any closer to finding a motive tonight? police aren’t saying a lot … and a former fbi profiler says it’s a too soon to determine what prompted these killings … but he can share some insight. ???? after a career breaking down some of the most devious criminal minds, fbi profiler and author… pete klismet can still be shaken. :42 you can’t help but be shocked. while its ? ? early in the investigatio n of noah harpham, he says he see some similarities to other mass shooters… such as his race, age, loner status and anger. 1:51 once police get done executing the search warrant at his place and they have searched his computer files, they will find a rambling discourse of some of his grievances. he aired some just days before saturdays shooting in the form of a video blog 1:35 there’s certainly some theme in there about his dad’s church. he seems to have a problem with the pastor and the church itself. klismet says its obvious to him that saturday’s shooting – as it is with other mass shootings – was a result of a build-up of anger. he says harpham didn’t snap. 2:00:00 that’s almost to say they woke up that morning, they had a cup of coffee, they read the paper, checked their emails and said, ‘i think i’m going to snap today and go out and start killing people and nothing could be farther from the truth. and this criminal profiler says it would surprise him if police ‘didn’t’ find a playbook of some sort at harpham’s apartment. 8:01:29 most of these people that do these acts – even as unthinkable and as unpardonable and difficult to understand as they may be – are not mentally ill. but klisment says the warnings signs that something could happen – were likely there. klismet says it’s hard to say whether the shooter knew the victims. 60 percent of the time … he says it’s random like the aurora theatre mass murders. noah harpham’s family issued a statement… saying: “our family i shocked and deeply saddened by the devastating events that took place in colorado springs on saturday
