Halloween takes over Pueblo Zoo
Ghouls and goblins took over the Pueblo Zoo Saturday.
The zoo’s annual Zoo Boo gave kids and parents the opportunity to get their trick-or-treating done early, while getting up close with animals at the zoo.
Kids who wore costumes were able to get in for free.
Pueblo West resident Corbet Heyn was one of the people who brought his family to the Zoo Boo. He said the event gives him an excuse to dress up as a jack-o’-lantern.
“We do this every year. It’s just a great time to see the animals and do the trick-or -treating. It’s a safe environment and just a wonderful time to spend time with the kids and support the zoo,” he said.
More than 1,000 people showed up for this year’s event.
