Woman killed in another deadly motorcycle crash in El Paso County

A Monument women died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon.

This came hours after a man died in a separate motorcycle crash only a few miles away Tuesday.

State Patrol said Ester Robinson, 49, died in a crash that happened near I-25 and Highway 105 in Monument around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Robinson’s motorcycle was heading south on the Highway 105 exit ramp when it went off the right side of the road, troopers said. The motorcycle then hit a guardrail.

Robinson was wearing eye protection at the time of the crash, but was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.

Alcohol and drug use are not considered contributing factors in the crash at this time. Inattentive driving is being considered as the contributing factor to the crash, troopers said.
