Man arrested, accused of punching CSPD officer
Colorado Springs police arrested a man accused of assaulting an officer.
Police were called to the Salvation Army warming shelter Monday night to investigate a man who had allegedly punched one of the security officers.
When police arrived, the man started throwing punches at an officer’s face, police say.
The officer suffered minor injuries to his face.
The suspect, 29-year-old Mikayahu Del Castillo, was arrested on a felony charge of Second-Degree Assault on a Peace Officer and a misdemeanor assault charge for his alleged attack on the security officer.
