Report: Parents upset with crackdown at northern Colorado school
Parents at a private school in Greeley are upset with the response by administrators to reports of the use and sale of marijuana by students.
According to records obtained by the Greeley Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/qb7k4do ), parents sent emails to administrators at University Schools complaining about what they called interrogation-style interviews and the search of student cell phones.
University Schools is a K-12 public charter school located in Greeley School District 6.
Administrators say they stand by their searches of cell phones because they believe it’s necessary to keep the school safe.
Administrators say their investigation uncovered suspected criminal activity on campus and other allegations of wrongdoing.
