Best Buy employee impersonator wanted in two states
The man accused of impersonating a Best Buy employee and bilking a customer out of more than a thousand dollars is now wanted in two states.
A police department in Texas saw KRDO Newschannel 13’s story and called the station as well as Colorado Springs police.
They said they knew who this man was; they were trying to find him for committing the same crime there.
Lt. Catherine Buckley with the Colorado Springs Police Department said they were able to make the connection because of the story and are working together to find him.
“Detective Jiminez from Texas said this man has actually impersonated a Best Buy employee and stole money from customers there at least twice,” she said.
They know his real name isn’t “Roy” like he told his victims, and Colorado Springs police are working on an arrest warrant for him here.
When he is caught, he will face charges in both states.
