Man arrested in incident at Walmart

One person was taken into custody for obstruction after an incident outside the Walmart on Razorback Road in Colorado Springs.

Police responded to the scene after a witness saw a man and woman pushing each other while walking toward the parking lot Sunday night.

The couple then got into a parked semi.

When officers tried to talk to the couple the man became uncooperative and refused to get out of the truck’s cab.

He was later identified as Gabriel Oakes.

Officers put Oakes on the ground, but he continued to resist commands and was shot with a Taser. Oakes was taken into custody and released for obstruction.

Officers say the incident was possibly misconstrued, and wasn’t a domestic violence incident.
