Colorado Springs Nightclub Closed for Fire Code Violations
(10/03/15) The Colorado Springs Fire Department has cited the newly opened “One Love Club” for operating without permits or a review.
The club is on 212 S. 21 st Street.
The Fire Department says the One Love Club was found to have multiple violations of the Approved Fire Code as adopted by the City of Colorado Springs.
Some of these violations were: Over Capacity Limits, Electrical Problems, Failure to apply for a change of Assembly Type, Occupancy before approval, failure to provide proper Exits and Exit Lighting and incorrect number and type of fire extinguishers.
As a result of the violations, the CSFD DFM (Division of the Fire Marshal) issued a Cease and Desist Order as well as summons on all violations the night of 10/2/2015 to the owner, Jered Ray McCusker.
One Love Club was shut down until all violations can be corrected.
CSFD says the “inspection was conducted in the same fair adjudication of ordinances that apply to all commercial businesses in the City of Colorado Springs.”
