Pueblo police warn of meter reader impersonators
The Pueblo Police Department says it believes a man and woman who are posing as Xcel Energy employees may be casing properties to break into.
Police say the pair have been posing as meter readers on the east side of town. The man has been seen wearing a vest with an Xcel logo on the back, but police say the vest is not part of the Xcel uniform and the logo appears to be homemade.
Xcel customers should ask for company identification if someone claiming to be an employee comes to their home. You’re asked to call police if you see something suspicious.
