Woman shot in neck while driving on highway forgives shooter
A woman who was shot in the neck last week while driving on Interstate 25 near Fort Collins is speaking out for the first time since her attack.
Cori Romero tells KMGH-TV she is grateful to be alive after her windshield suddenly shattered April 22 and she realized she had been shot. She was released from the hospital Wednesday night, one week after surgery.
Romero says she has already forgiven the person who shot her.
At least eight people have reported their windows being shattered in northern Colorado since April 21, including Romero.
Investigators have not determined if the series of shattered windows are linked or whether they are tied to Romero’s shooting.
