Man accused of arranging to meet girl, 14, for sex
Colorado Springs Police say a man was arrested after showing up for what he thought was a meeting to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Chase Kempf, 21, was arrested at around 4:20 p.m. on February 3, 2015.
Police say Kempf contacted the girl through social media and they began communicating through text messaging. Police say Kempf asked the girl to sneak out of her home to have sex with him. The girl told police that she told Kempf she was only 14.
Police say the girl’s mom gave crimes against children unit detectives control of the text messaging account. They say the communication continued, and Kempf asked for a naked picture of the girl and once again asked her to meet him for sex.
Police say the detectives, posing as the girl, arranged to meet Kempf for sex in the 5800 block of N. Nevada Ave.
Kempf showed up for the encounter as scheduled and was arrested.
