Pedestrian seriously injured in Colorado Springs crash

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Colorado Springs Saturday night.

It happened before 9:30 p.m. near Marksheffel Road and Dublin Boulevard.

An investigation showed that a man was hit by a car in the southbound direction. He was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.

No arrests are expected. The driver of the car and the person that was hit do not know each other, police said.

Right now police said they do not know why the pedestrian was in the dark and unlit portion of the roadway.
