CSU-Pueblo football players enjoy Thanksgiving with their loved ones

Before their big game on Saturday, CSU-Pueblo football players enjoyed a big feast.

This is the fourth year the football players have had a Thanksgiving meal get-together with their families.

Organizers said every time the players have a home playoff game, they get to have a Thanksgiving dinner.

Senior tight end Trent Thompson said this is a good way to get his mind off football and enjoy the time with the people he loves.

“It’s exciting to just enjoy each other’s company and not worry about football and kind of getting your mind off it even if it is for a couple hours and to enjoy some food and family time it is exciting,” he said.

Players said now that the meal is over, it’s time to focus on their playoff game against Angelo State on Saturday.
