Bomb squad called to Colorado Springs home; 1 man arrested
Colorado Springs Police arrested one man early Tuesday morning (5/27/14) after the bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious object left in the garage of a home.
Police and the bomb squad were on scene at a home near Buckeye Drive and West Woodmen Road.
The object was called in by an officer who was trying to find a wanted man. The officer did not know what the object was, and called the bomb squad in to investigate.
Police arrested 38-year-old Todd Schneider. He was wanted on three different misdemeanor harassment charges.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation into the suspicious object, Schneider could face felony charges for manufacturing explosives. However, police have not yet determined what the object is and are still investigating.
