Investigation cleared after possible threat at Peyton post office
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said investigators have found what caused an evacuation at the Peyton post office Friday morning.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were called around 6:15 a.m. Friday. Workers were sorting mail when they said they found a possible explosive device, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies said the device turned out to be a novelty pineapple-style grenade.
