Freeze Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for most of eastern Colorado for Wednesday morning (5/14/15).

The warning is scheduled to take effect at 12 a.m. and expire at 7 a.m.

The areas shaded in magenta on the map at the top of this article are included in the warning.

Some of the communities that can expect freezing temperatures include Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City, Walsenburg, Trinidad, La Junta, Lamar and Springfield.

A freeze warning means that sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions can kill crops and other sensitive plants and could damage exposed irrigation systems.
