Springs man charged with firing at officers

Colorado Springs Police were called to a house at 803 N. Wahsatch Ave. late Wednesday night.

A resident in the neighborhood reported seeing someone breaking into the storm cellar.

Officers heard several loud bangs as they approached the house. A shotgun blast and glass sprayed officers as they approached the storm cellar.

One officer suffered minor injuries as a result. A perimeter was set up around the house and several announcements were made to the assailants inside the house.

The suspect, Seth Ebert, 38, then exited the house and was taken into custody.

Ebert was arrested for Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, and other charges which have not yet been disclosed.
