Transportation crews repairing Minturn sinkhole

Colorado Department of Transportation crews are working to repair a sinkhole on Colorado Highway 24 near Minturn.

Officials say the sinkhole is about nine feet wide in the center of the roadway. They say an old culvert is probably the cause of the damage.

Crews are allowing traffic through one lane while repairs are completed. An alternate route for wide-load truck traffic is Colorado Highway 91 near Leadville to Interstate 70.
