Police: Suspicious bag was a ‘hoax’
The Colorado Springs Police Department’s bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious bag at Memorial Park Thursday evening (5/1/14).
The bag was found on the west side of the park near the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Farragut Avenue.
Officers were not able to determine what the item was and called in the bomb squad. The bomb squad’s robot examined the item and found it to be a hoax and not an explosive.
