Threat against school employee prompted Wednesday lockdown

Mountain Vista Elementary in Harrison School District 2 was on lockout Wednesday (2/19/14) while police investigated a reported threat against an employee at the school.

Police received information that a person who was armed with a gun might come to the school to harm the employee.

District 2 put the school on lockout and police patrolled the school parking lot and nearby streets to make sure the suspect didn’t get on campus.

The suspect, identified as Jonathan Dillingham, 22, was arrested by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. The lockout was lifted following Dillingham’s arrest.

Police say Dillingham is facing charges for harassment.
