Alamosa to build new airport terminal
A new airport terminal is coming soon to the San Luis Valley Regional Airport this summer with hopes of attracting a new airline.
Alamosa County Assistant Administrator Carol Osborn says the new terminal is a must for the airport because the existing building is falling apart and is fails to meet Transportation Security Administration regulations.
The Alamosa Valley Courier reports the terminal project is valued at $3.5 million and is being funded through the Federal Aviation Administration, the state, the county and possibly $1 million in Department of Local Affairs grants.
