Spice cases make their way through the court system
Four Colorado Springs men who are facing charges for allegedly selling Spice say they didn’t do it.
Ryan Oligney, Joseph Hershberger, Donald Cordova and Allan Johnson were in court Monday (1/10/14). All four men entered not guilty pleas.
Oligney owns a store called Spice of Life which is located on S. Academy Blvd. The other three men worked at the shop.
The Drug Enforcement Administration says it seized 156 pounds of spice from the shop after a six-month investigation.
Oligney and his employees will go to trial in July.
Another business owner who is accused of selling spice was in court Monday.
Kong Hoon Kim was advised of the charges against him.
Kim owns the Kwik Way store in Fountain.
Police say they found 96 grams of spice at his business in January, 2014.
Kim told KRDO NewsChannel 13 in an exclusive interview that he didn’t know the drug was illegal.
